Terms of Use

Last updated: October 22, 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms of Use apply to the website at 2gno.me, its subdomains, and every 2gnoMe portal (the "Service"). The Service is provided by Brandme LLC, a New York limited liability company doing business as 2gnoMe ("2gnoMe", "we", "us").

Most people use 2gnoMe through an account their school, district, agency or company (an "Organization") provides. The Organization's agreement with 2gnoMe, usually our Subscription Agreement or a signed contract, governs the Organization. These terms govern you as an individual user or visitor. If the two conflict, the Organization's agreement controls.

By using the Service you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live. The Service is not directed at children.
  • If an Organization created your account, it controls the account. It can see, export, change and delete its content, and can suspend or close it.
  • Keep your login secure. Tell us at support@2gno.me if you think someone else used your account.
  • Keep your information accurate and current.

3. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • access accounts, portals or data you are not authorized to use;
  • upload content that is unlawful, discriminatory or harassing, or that you do not have the right to share;
  • enter student names or other student identifiers, or government ID, financial account or health information, unless your Organization requires it;
  • probe, scan or test the Service's security, or interfere with its operation, without our written agreement;
  • copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law allows it;
  • extract data with automated tools, other than through integrations we provide.

4. Your content

Content you enter, such as reflections, goals, observations, feedback, forms and files, belongs to you or your Organization. You give 2gnoMe permission to store, process and display it only to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy and your Organization's agreement. You are responsible for what you enter and for having the right to enter it.

5. AI features

Some portals include AI features that draft feedback from evidence already in the Service. Drafts are a starting point and can be incomplete or wrong. The person who shares a draft is responsible for reviewing, editing and approving it. 2gnoMe AI does not score, rate, label or make employment or evaluation decisions.

6. Our content and framework content

2gnoMe owns the Service, its software, design and our own content. Some frameworks, rubrics and learning resources belong to third parties, such as The Danielson Group. You may use them only inside the Service and only as their owners allow. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.

If you send us suggestions about the Service, we may use them without obligation to you.

7. Third-party services

The Service connects to services such as Google Workspace, ClassLink and LTI platforms, and links to outside websites and learning resources. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for them.

8. Free portals and trials

Free portals and trials are provided as they are, may have limits, and may be changed or ended. Content in a closed free portal may be deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close access that breaks these terms or puts the Service, its users or their data at risk. Where practical and lawful, we will tell you or your Organization first. You can stop using the Service at any time.

10. Disclaimers

Except as stated in your Organization's agreement with 2gnoMe, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, 2gnoMe disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and does not promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, 2gnoMe is not liable to you for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you as an individual user or visitor is limited to US$100. This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, and does not change an Organization's agreement with 2gnoMe.

12. Changes to these terms

We will notify users by email or in the Service at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you use the Service through a public Organization, the governing-law terms of that Organization's agreement apply instead.
